A bag filter system is a pressure vessel containing a replaceable fabric or mesh filter bag supported by an internal perforated stainless steel basket. Process liquid flows inside-out through the bag, trapping suspended solids and contaminants within the element while allowing clean fluid to pass downstream to chillers, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.

Housings are manufactured from 304L or 316/316L stainless steel to provide robust corrosion resistance in data center cooling loops and industrial water treatment environments. Gasket material options include Buna-N, EPR/EPDM, Silicone, and Viton/FKM to match system chemistry and temperature profiles.

Both single and multi-bag filter housings offer a design pressure of up to 150 psi (10 bar), dependent on configuration. Single-bag housings support operating temperatures up to 250°F (120°C), while multi-bag housings support up to 300°F (149°C), depending on gasket selection and design parameters.

These housings accommodate a wide variety of filtration media, including polypropylene, polyester, nylon, felt, and mesh filter bags. The appropriate media and micron rating are selected based on process chemistry, operating temperatures, and particulate size targets in your water loop.

Single-bag housings feature FNPT, ANSI flanged, or sanitary ferrule connections, with V-clamp, band clamp, or swing-bolt closures. Multi-bag units utilize ANSI flanged connections and offer clamp, swing-bolt, davit-assisted, or quick-opening cover configurations to facilitate rapid bag replacement.
