Filter Sock Housing for Data Center Water Filtration

A filter housing serves as the pressure vessel that contains and secures filter bags within a pressurized flow line. Constructed from 304L or 316L stainless steel, it routes process liquid through the filtration media while preventing bypass. Bag filter systems operate by directing contaminated liquid into the housing interior where it passes from the inside of a filter sock outward through perforated support baskets. Contaminant loading is monitored by pressure differential across the housing, signaling when the cover should be opened for clean bag replacement.

The housings accommodate a broad selection of filtration media, including polypropylene, polyester, nylon, felt, and mesh bags. The choice of media depends on fluid compatibility, operating temperature ranges up to 300°F, and targeted particle sizes. Compatible bag configurations ensure a positive seal against the housing seat, preventing liquid bypass and ensuring optimal cleanliness throughout critical closed-loop cooling circuits.
