Depending on whether they allow thermal movement or lock piping firmly in place, they may also be designated specifically as anchored supports or guided hangers within sanitary, industrial, and process piping installations.

Common types of hangers include block style hangers, rigid clamps, and strap supports. In sanitary and high-purity process environments, compact stainless steel hangers with non-metallic inserts—such as polyethersulfone or high-temperature nylon—are widely used to protect tube surfaces, minimize metal-to-metal contact, reduce vibration, and accommodate thermal movement.

Yes, mechanical codes and standards such as ASME and ASTM require pipe hangers to properly carry pipe weight, absorb vibration, and maintain elevation and slope. Proper securement ensures operational safety, prevents excessive mechanical stress on joints and equipment connections, and maintains compliance across industrial manufacturing, cooling water, and sanitary facilities.

Our hangers are manufactured from durable 304 or 316L stainless steel for demanding process conditions. To protect pipe surfaces and reduce vibration, hardware incorporates specialized insert materials including polyethersulfone (PESU), polypropylene, Santoprene, polysulfone, HDPE, or high-temperature nylon, depending on the selected hanger configuration.

Maximum working temperatures depend on the selected configuration and insert material. CHT and CHR stainless steel hangers support maximum working temperatures up to 320 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius), while block style hangers accommodate working temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (149 degrees Celsius).

Hangers accommodate sizes ranging from 1/4 inch to 6 inches for tube, SCH pipe, and copper pipe dimensions. Mounting configurations include threaded rods, solid rods, base plates, weld plates, stacked hardware, and rail and strut options, with rod lengths available from standard 6-inch lengths up to 96 inches.
