Pleated Filter Cartridges for Data Center Water Filtration

A depth filter is used to retain particles throughout the entire cross-section of its media rather than strictly on the exterior surface. Depth-oriented polypropylene media captures varying particle sizes across a gradient, preventing premature surface blinding. This filtration approach is ideal for process water treatment, reverse osmosis pre-filtration, and industrial water systems carrying high particulate loads.

High flow pleated cartridges offer particle ratings spanning 0.5 to 100 microns. This range allows facility operators to target specific particle sizes depending on system requirements, whether providing coarse filtration for cooling tower loops or fine particulate protection upstream of reverse osmosis units and sensitive heat transfer components.

These polypropylene filter cartridges support a maximum operating temperature of 176°F (80°C). The maximum operating differential pressure reaches 60 psi (4 bar) at 70°F (21°C), and 35 psi (2.4 bar) at high temperatures of 176°F (80°C). The manufacturer recommended change-out differential pressure is 30 psi.

The cartridges feature an outside diameter of 152 mm (6 inches) with inside-to-outside flow direction and a single open-ended configuration. Facilities can select from multiple standard lengths, including 20, 40, 60, and 80 inches, to match specific vessel housings and flow capacity requirements.

To ensure reliable sealing and broad chemical compatibility, cartridges can be configured with multiple elastomeric seal options. Available gasket and O-ring materials include EPDM, E-FKM, FKM, and Silicone, ensuring dependable mechanical sealing under varied water chemistry and temperature conditions.

The cartridges are manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system. Furthermore, the polypropylene construction materials comply with United States FDA requirements for contact under 21 CFR as well as European Commission Regulation (EU) 10/2011, assuring consistent material purity and industrial reliability.
