Micron Cartridge Filter Housing for Data Center Water Systems

Vessels accommodate cartridge capacities ranging from 1 to 16 cartridges per housing. Available cartridge lengths include 20, 40, 60, and 80 inches, providing approximately 25 square feet of filtration area per 20-inch length. Capacities can be expanded further by configuring multiple filter housings in parallel arrangements across the system.

These filter housings feature a maximum operating differential pressure of 60 psi (4 bar) at 70°F (21°C). The maximum operating temperature rating is 180°F (80°C). Operating parameters should be confirmed against your specific media and process requirements during equipment selection to maintain dependable cooling loop performance.

Housings are engineered and fabricated in accordance with applicable pressure vessel standards. Qualified designs are available to ASME Section VIII, Division 1, CE/PED 2014/68/EU standards, and ASME U-stamped construction manufactured under an authorized quality program covering material traceability, welding procedures, inspections, and hydro-testing.

The vessels provide various inlet and outlet patterns and connection options measuring up to 12 inches in size. Housings can also be configured in either vertical or horizontal orientations to accommodate diverse mechanical room layouts, piping elevations, and available floor space constraints within data center utility areas.

A selection of sealing elastomers is available to ensure fluid compatibility across treated, chilled, and reclaimed water applications. Operators can configure housings with EPDM, FKM (Viton), NBR (Buna-N), or silicone seals, allowing tailored chemical and temperature resilience across closed cooling loops or open tower loops.

Because individual high-flow cartridges handle flow rates up to 800 liters per minute under specific conditions, systems require significantly fewer elements than conventional multi-round filter vessels. This design drastically reduces cartridge changeout counts, fewer internal sealing points, and lower labor overhead during scheduled routine system maintenance.
